Happy Wednesday everybody! I’m really excited to share today’s post with you because it’s another styling post! I love creating new outfits and I must admit I’m obsessed with the bandana /neck tie trend that’s going around right now. I think it’s adorable. I’m gonna break this post down into four separate outfits showing different ways to style this must-have accessory.
I’m really excited to share today’s post with you because it’s another styling post! I love creating new outfits and I must admit I’m obsessed with the bandana/neck tie trend that’s going around right now. I think it’s adorable. I’m gonna break this post down into four separate outfits showing different ways to style this new, must-have, accessory.
One of my favorite ways to wear a bandana is with structured, collared tops. In this first outfit, I’m wearing an oversized button up shirt from Madewell. The exact one isn’t available anymore, but I will link this one from Levi’s which is pretty similar. If you order a size up you should be good to go.
I used a blue and white bandana from a Target. It was only six dollars, but I feel like it looks like some of the more higher end ones. Any color would work with this outfit because denim acts like a neutral.
I’ve also worn this outfit with a pair of black suede mules. It looks girlier like this way, but I love it either way.
I took a photo in it, although this is for an upcoming post… so be on the lookout for that! If it wasn’t obvious I’m also wearing a different bandana and a different pair of 501s, but the outfit ideas were pretty much the same.
In a way, I’m kind of cheating with this one. It is quite similar to the previous outfit, I get it. I just wanted to show you that this look also works with dresses if that’s more your speed.
I’m wearing an oversized denim dress that my sister bought for me from a thrift store. I’m going to link another Levi’s item because I genuinely believe in their clothing. I think they meet a happy medium between good quality and not overly expensive. This one is super cute, in my opinion. There’s also a lot of higher end ones as well if you’re wanting even better quality.
If this outfit is one thing, it’s comfy. It’s also perfect for going out to eat because after you get your food baby, no one can tell!
I also love the fact that you can dress it up or down. When I was shooting these looks I didn’t realize I was wearing the same Vejas sneakers as the previous outfit, but it could easily look for with dressier heels or sandals.
Off the shoulder tops
Off-the-shoulder tops might just be the biggest trend of the summer of 2017. That and gingham, of course. For this look, I’m styling a white, off-the-shoulder tank from Madewell. It’s really tight, so it acts a bit like a bodysuit.
The bandana I’m wearing is from the dollar store and I’m pretty sure cost me like 50 cents. What a steal, right?
I’m wearing a belt from goodwill, one of my favorite places to look for cool accessories and pieces. The leather is super distressed and I love the big buckle!
I’m wearing a pair of cutoff Levi 501s, which are a staple, summer-must-have for me.
And you guessed it, my shoes are the same Vejas from the other looks! No suprise there.
This might be the easiest outfit because you probably already own a lot of the pieces.
For this look, I’m using a bandana to spice up a simple outfit. I’m wearing a basic cotton tee, if you don’t own one you can get one anywhere.
I went with a maroon bandana for this look because it really helps make the bandana pop. It demands to be the focal point of the outfit.
I’m wearing another pair of vintage Levi 501s (surprise, surprise). They’re just my favorite pair of jeans for a casual look. This outfit would look fine with any jeans though, including skinny or boot-cut. You could even do leggings if that’s what you’re into.
I’m wearing a pair of Vince espadrilles, which are pricey, but oh so worth it! The back actually folds down so you can wear them as open back shoes as well. I got mine brand new from a vintage store, someone bought them and never wore them. It was a steal if I’d ever seen one.
An overall cute outfit, will definitely be wearing it again.
I hope you all enjoyed this styling post! Bandanas are easily my favorite summer accessory, so this was a lot of fun for me! Next week I’ll be starting a back to school segment and we’ll be talking about earning money during the school year!
